Togo’s health authorities are preparing a “Hospital Establishment Project” to improve regional and prefectural public hospitals. The project will enhance hospital governance, internal structure, and service quality nationwide.
Consultations began in May with health stakeholders and technical partners. Meetings have already been held in the Plateaux and Kara regions. Each hospital’s plan will be tailored to local conditions and needs. The goal is to create a more consistent and effective hospital structure. Authorities also aim to align services with public health expectations. The full plan will support long-term healthcare improvement across Togo.
