Togo Launches Financial Services Satisfaction Survey

The African Consumer Organization (OAC) has launched a survey in Togo to assess customer satisfaction with banks and microfinance institutions. The initiative, unveiled on August 12, is part of a pan-African project deployed in 16 countries, including Benin, Morocco, and Nigeria.

In Togo, the study is being implemented by the Togolese Consumer League (LCT) and the Togolese Consumer Association (ATC). LCT president Emmanuel Sogadji recalled that nearly 70% of consumers expressed dissatisfaction in a previous study, underscoring the scale of the challenge. The new survey will run until October 12, 2025, through an online questionnaire. Financial institutions are encouraged to promote participation to ensure a broad sample.

Results, expected by early November, will provide comparative data by country and institution to guide reforms in financial service delivery across Africa.
