The Ministry of Finance has held a high-level meeting with UN agencies in Ghana. The talks focused on aligning national priorities with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Officials commented that the engagement would improve coordination and avoid duplication of efforts. The meeting brought together government representatives, UN leaders, and technical experts. They discussed data-driven planning, predictable financing, and stronger accountability. Both sides agreed to link UN support directly with Ghana’s medium-term policy framework. Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Nyarko Apem praised the UN’s role as “catalytic” for development.
UN Resident Coordinator Zia Choudhury pledged continued collaboration to ensure inclusive growth.
