Togo will receive support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The announcement followed a meeting between President Faure Gnassingbé and UNIDO’s representative Tidiane Boyé.
Talks focused on helping Togo achieve its industrialization goals. UNIDO plans to modernize key sectors like agro-industry, textiles, and local product processing. The support will also improve quality standards and boost competitiveness. A Country Partnership Program will guide cooperation based on Togo’s national priorities.
The program includes creating industrial parks and promoting SME financing. UNIDO will also back projects for youth and women’s entrepreneurship.
