UNICEF, WFP and KOICA have launched a major child-focused programme in northern Togo. The initiative targets children in the Kara and Savanes regions.
It is funded with 8.3 billion CFA francs and will run until 2029. The programme supports education, health, water, sanitation and social protection. It focuses on children aged 0 to 18, including displaced children and host communities. A social cohesion approach is being used to ensure fair access to services.
Implementation is coordinated by the Ministry of Health with support from other ministries. The project aims to protect vulnerable children amid ongoing security challenges in the north.
