Togo’s National Union of Transporters has deployed two new crane trucks. The vehicles were commissioned on January 29, 2026. They are stationed in Notsè and Kara along major road corridors. The aim is to remove broken-down vehicles quickly and reduce traffic delays. The move will also help prevent secondary road accidents.
UNATROT said the equipment was acquired with support from financial partners. Authorities praised the initiative for improving road safety and transport efficiency. Transporters were urged to respect traffic laws and adopt responsible road behaviour.
