Cashew Farm-Gate Price Set for 2026

Côte d’Ivoire has fixed the farm-gate price of cashew nuts at 400 FCFA per kilogram for the 2026 season. The announcement was made on Friday, 6 February 2026, in Yamoussoukro by the Minister of Agriculture, Bruno Nabagné Koné.

The decision was taken during the National Days of the Cashew, Cotton, and Shea Producers. The new price represents a slight reduction compared to the previous campaign. According to the minister, the drop is linked to a downturn on the international cashew market. He cited restrictive tariff measures imposed by the United States and the depreciation of the US dollar as key factors.

The government says the price is a cautious but protective measure to ensure farmers can sell all their produce. Authorities have not ruled out a future price increase if global market conditions improve.
