Togo’s Economy Gains Strong Momentum

Togo’s economy accelerated in the third quarter of 2025, driven by industry, trade, services, and construction. Data from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic and Demographic Studies show stronger performance across key sectors. The Industrial Production Index rose by 11% in the first ten months of 2025, reversing a 4.2% decline in 2024. Mining and manufacturing each expanded by 7.8%, while energy grew by 3%. Trade activity also improved, with the turnover index climbing 19.1% year-on-year.

Wholesale trade increased by 21% and retail trade by 18.4%. Non-financial services such as healthcare and business support recorded strong gains, alongside a 14.8% rise in construction. These trends point to a positive contribution to overall growth for 2025.
