Ecobank, SUNU Target Premium Clients

Ecobank Togo and SUNU Assurances Vie Togo have launched a new life insurance product called Protectys Premium. The offer targets middle-income and high-net-worth clients in Togo.

The policy guarantees a lump-sum payment in case of death or total disability, with a long-term savings option. It is available to Ecobank customers aged 18 to 74, above the usual market age limit. Ecobank is part of the pan-African Ecobank Group, operating in 35 countries. SUNU is a subsidiary of the SUNU Group and claims leadership in Togo’s life insurance market.

The partnership allows SUNU to use Ecobank’s wide banking network to reach premium clients. This move reflects a growing bancassurance trend in the WAEMU region, where life insurance penetration remains below 1% of GDP.
