Government Secures Jobs for Returnees from South Africa

The Ghanaian government has secured 120 jobs for citizens returning from South Africa following recent xenophobic incidents. Authorities say the employment package is intended to help returnees reintegrate into society. The initiative was announced as more Ghanaians arrived in Accra from Johannesburg. Officials are also assessing additional support measures for affected families. Some returnees have already begun registration processes for the available positions.

The programme involves collaboration between government agencies and private employers. More arrivals are expected in the coming days. The effort seeks to ease the transition back into life in Ghana.
