Abidjan officially launched the 2025 edition of Abidjan Ville Lumière on December 22. The illumination ceremony took place at Avenue Jean-Paul II in Abidjan-Plateau.
The programme now covers Abidjan, all 31 regions, and the Yamoussoukro district. This year’s theme focuses on peace, prosperity, and national solidarity. The event was held under the patronage of the First Lady, Dominique Ouattara. She described the lights as a symbol of hope, unity, and harmony for all Ivorians.
Support was also extended to vulnerable families through the donation of food items. Authorities say the initiative promotes togetherness and a shared festive spirit nationwide.
