The final funeral rites of highlife legend Daddy Lumba will be held on December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The announcement was made by DL FM.
Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, died on July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital after a short illness. He was 60 years old. Thousands mourned his passing, with tributes from fans, musicians, and political leaders. A national candlelight vigil took place on August 2 at Independence Square in Accra.
A one-week memorial service followed on August 30. He leaves behind over 30 albums and timeless highlife hits such as Aben Wo Ha and Yentie Obiaa.
