Minister Seeks Two Weeks to Address CETAG Concerns

The Education Minister has appealed to CETAG to suspend its ongoing strike. He assured the association that the government will resolve their long-standing issues within two weeks. Haruna Iddrisu made the request after meeting CETAG leaders on Tuesday. He acknowledged that the unresolved matters date as far back as 2022. The Minister noted that the government is ready to fulfil its obligations.

CETAG declared the nationwide strike due to the delayed implementation of an NLC award. The award, issued in May 2023, directed the government to meet certain conditions. The strike is currently affecting all 46 Colleges of Education across the country.
