Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will present a Bawku peace report to President Mahama today. The report focuses on mediation efforts to end the long-standing conflict. President Mahama appointed the Asantehene earlier in 2025 to lead the process. Talks began in April with separate meetings between rival factions. The aim was to build trust and prepare for dialogue.
Although talks paused briefly, they resumed in May 2025. The mediation has helped reduce tensions and restore relative calm. Security has also been strengthened by the Ghana Armed Forces.
