Security forces will intensify checks and seize all illegal pyrotechnic products. Offenders risk arrest as customs corridors will also be closely monitored.
Officials have also activated the national fire prevention and alert system following frequent end-of-year fire incidents. The public is advised to inspect electrical installations and avoid overloading power equipment. People are urged to follow fire-ban schedules and avoid open flames in risky outdoor areas. Any signs of fire should be reported immediately using emergency numbers 118, 170 or 1014.
