Senegal’s President Visits Togo on Friday

Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will visit Lomé on Friday, July 25, 2025. The trip was announced by his government after a cabinet meeting in Dakar. He is visiting at the invitation of Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé. The visit is part of a regional tour that has already taken him to Côte d’Ivoire and Benin.

Faye and Gnassingbé will discuss trade and stronger ties between their countries. They may also talk about bringing Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso back into ECOWAS. Both leaders are involved in regional peace efforts. After Togo, Faye will attend Liberia’s national holiday in Monrovia.
