Tears in Court During Lumba Marriage Case

Cross-examination in the case involving Daddy Lumba’s alleged marriage was halted when his sister broke down in tears. Justice Dorinda Smith-Arthur paused proceedings so she could regain calm.

The case seeks to confirm whether Akosua Serwaa is the legal wife entitled to perform widowhood rites.

Questions from the lawyer for Odo Broni triggered the emotional moment. Ernestina Fosuh said Lumba returned to Ghana in 2013 and she often stayed at his Tantra Hills home. She met Odo Broni when she gave birth to her first son, and later learned of a second child.

She insisted Lumba performed family funeral rites and that the marriage never collapsed. She told the court Serwaa still has valid marital documents, showing the union remains active.
