Zuarungu Senior High School has been closed indefinitely following a violent clash between Gurune and Kusasi students.
The fight reportedly began over a stolen mobile phone on Sunday, July 20. The conflict escalated, leading to the destruction of school property by fire. Four students have been arrested, but one escaped police custody after grabbing an officer’s magazine. Fearing more violence, security forces are now escorting students from Bawku home.
