The 3rd Luanda Summit on Infrastructure Financing in Africa opened on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The meeting, held in Angola, brings together African leaders including Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé.
It is organized by the African Union Commission and AUDA-NEPAD under the theme “Capital, Corridors, Trade.” Discussions focus on how to fund infrastructure that supports the AfCFTA and shared prosperity. Leaders and investors are exploring new ways to finance major infrastructure projects across Africa. The talks align with the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) and AU connectivity plans.
For Togo, the summit supports its ongoing efforts to modernize transport and logistics networks. Officials say this will boost investment and help Togo benefit fully from continental trade opportunities.
