Atuabo Gas Plant to Undergo Two-Week Maintenance

The Ministry of Energy has approved a maintenance shutdown at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant.

The Ghana National Gas Company will halt operations from August 16 to 30, 2025. This period will be used for key inspections, repairs, and system upgrades. Officials say the works will boost the plant’s efficiency and reliability. The shutdown is part of efforts to maintain safe national energy infrastructure. To avoid power shortages, alternative fuel sources will be used.

The Ministry says electricity supply will remain stable during the process. Regular public updates will be given on the maintenance progress.
