Côte d’Ivoire will launch a new women’s empowerment program on September 18, 2025 in Abobo, Abidjan.
The project is called DICEFA and is led by the Ministry of Women, Family, and Children. It will help women gain business skills and better access to loans and property. The program will begin in 11 regions, including Abidjan and San-Pedro. It also aims to boost food security and women’s entrepreneurship. Local leaders are expected to support the rollout in their communities.
The government says this program turns promises on gender equality into action. DICEFA is seen as a big step toward a fairer and more prosperous Côte d’Ivoire.
