Côte d’Ivoire Promotes Press Partnership in Anti-Corruption Drive

On July 9, 2025, Côte d’Ivoire’s High Authority for Good Governance (HABG) held a “no-taboo” open day for local and international media ahead of African Anti-Corruption Day.

The event fostered direct exchanges between journalists and HABG leaders, with President Epiphane Zoro Bi Ballo emphasizing the media’s vital role in promoting transparency and trust. Journalists toured key departments, including asset declarations and investigations, and witnessed the launch of HABG’s new visual identity.

Côte d’Ivoire’s anti-corruption efforts have yielded results, improving its Transparency International score from 27 in 2013 to 45 in 2024, backed by a national strategy and stronger civic engagement tools.
