A legal clash has erupted between Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Her lawyers accuse GTEC of bias, overreach, and damaging her reputation.
The dispute centres on GTEC’s challenge to her use of the title “Professor.” Her legal team says the process lacked transparency and legal clarity. They argue GTEC acted improperly by circulating letters to Parliament and the Presidency. The lawyers insist the Commission has no authority to question titles conferred by foreign institutions.
They cite international conventions supporting recognition of such academic qualifications. Dr. Ayensu Danquah’s lawyers have given GTEC 14 days to respond or face legal action.
