Lomé is hosting a two-day hybrid ECOWAS meeting on mobile roaming. It is the 18th gathering of roaming focal points in the region.
The focus is monitoring and evaluating Regulation C/REG.21/12/17. Officials from WATRA, UEMOA, and all ECOWAS states are attending. Ms Folake Olagunju praised progress made through bilateral tariff deals. Sierra Leone’s Musa Jalloh stressed digital integration and lower costs.
Togo’s ARCEP called for full implementation to boost connectivity. The regulation seeks to cut roaming charges and improve access.
