The Food and Beverages Association of Ghana says ECG and the Ghana Water Company are crippling businesses. It argues that the latest tariff increases are intolerable and should be suspended immediately.
FABAG says the utilities have become a burden due to inefficiency, waste and mismanagement. The group warns that higher tariffs will shut factories, raise food prices and worsen the cost-of-living crisis. It accuses ECG of overspending its budget and failing to fix major losses and corruption issues. FABAG wants a full operational audit of ECG and the Ghana Water Company made public.
It says consumers should not pay for incompetence and demands clear accountability frameworks. The Association insists that restructuring and efficiency—not endless tariff hikes—are the real solutions.
