Petroleum product prices are expected to go up slightly at the pumps from Wednesday, October 1, 2025. According to the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies, petrol may rise by up to 2.47%, reaching about GHS 14.52 per litre.
Diesel could increase between 1.36% and 3.41%, potentially selling at GHS 15.17 per litre. Liquefied Petroleum Gas is also projected to climb by 2.01% to 4.01%. The chamber attributed the hikes to rising international product prices and the continued depreciation of the cedi. The local currency dropped from GHS 12.07 to GHS 12.40 per dollar, a 2.74% fall in the review period.
Brent crude also rose 1.57% to $68.45 per barrel, with forecasts showing a rebound toward $70. Some major oil firms, including GOIL and Shell, have already adjusted prices and may revise them again this week.
