Fuel Prices to See Mixed Changes from August 1

Petrol prices are set to rise slightly by 0.47% to GH¢2.80 per litre starting August 1, 2025. Diesel and LPG, however, are expected to drop in price by up to 0.29% per litre. These projections are based on a pricing outlook from the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC).

Some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) may choose to keep prices unchanged despite the forecast. COMAC attributes the mixed price trends to stable global crude oil prices and a steady Ghana cedi. International crude prices dropped by 0.28%, settling at US$70.62 per barrel. Petrol prices internationally went up by 0.43%, while diesel and LPG declined by 1.22% and 1.80% respectively. This trend suggests consumers could see varied fuel pricing at different pumps.
