Ghana has introduced a new passenger data system at Kotoka International Airport. The API and PNR systems will collect traveller information before arrival or departure.
This move aims to boost national security and detect threats early. It will also speed up immigration and customs checks at the airport. President Mahama inaugurated the system and a new Air Navigation Services building. He instructed key ministries to expand the system across the country.
The rollout supports future plans for a faster e-visa process. Officials say the system will improve travel safety and efficiency.
