Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has condemned a violent attack on Morobo County Hospital in South Sudan’s Central Equatorial State. Armed assailants stormed the hospital on Friday, looted essential medical supplies, robbed staff, and torched two ambulances, severely disrupting emergency services in the region.
MSF labeled the assault a serious breach of humanitarian norms and a direct threat to lifesaving care for vulnerable populations. The organization is urging authorities to swiftly investigate the incident and take decisive steps to protect medical staff and facilities amid rising insecurity in the area.
