Gentry Akoly has been appointed as the new Director General of INSEED.He officially took office on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Lomé.He replaces Tchiou Animaou, who had been serving as interim director.The handover ceremony was attended by government and planning officials. Akoly pledged to improve data quality and transparency at INSEED. He aims to make the institute more central to national governance.
INSEED was created in 2015 to manage official statistics in Togo. It handles censuses, surveys, and national economic indicators.
