Togo’s Adétikopé Industrial Platform has welcomed two new textile investors, Novarea Textile and Togo Apparels Source. The two companies are expected to create about 1,800 direct jobs.
Most of the jobs will be in textile processing and garment manufacturing. The firms plan to begin operations soon at the PIA site near Lomé. They will benefit from integrated infrastructure, including logistics and customs services. Novarea Textile was recently restructured after shares were sold to a Mauritian investor.
Togo Apparels Source will focus mainly on garment production for export markets. The investment supports Togo’s goal of adding value to local cotton and other crops.
