Ollo Africa boosts capital base

Togolese fintech firm Ollo Africa SA has increased its capital from 68 million FCFA to 1 billion FCFA. The move follows approval at an extraordinary general meeting held in December 2024.

The capital increase brings in new Togolese and American business angels alongside the founders. Ollo Africa focuses on digitising tontines through its Ohana Africa platform. The company says the investment will support user acquisition, technology upgrades, and team expansion. It will also fund financial education and expansion across the WAEMU region.

About 5,000 family accounts are already managed on the platform in Togo. Ollo Africa believes the funding will help scale its services to hundreds of thousands of families.
