Togo recorded strong growth in coffee and cocoa exports in 2024-2025. Coffee exports rose to 4,400 tonnes, up from 2,618 tonnes the year before.
Cocoa exports also surged to 24,000 tonnes, compared to 11,182 tonnes in 2023-2024. This represents nearly a 50% increase in both sectors. Officials credit the rise to the Coffee-Cocoa Development Plans adopted last year. These plans target higher productivity, better quality, and stronger marketing.
The sector also hired more controllers and boosted training and anti-smuggling efforts. The rebound continues a recovery trend after sharp declines in 2020 and 2021.
