Tunisia has signed an agreement to purchase 12 Bell 412EPX helicopters from American aerospace company Bell Textron. This is the country’s first deal with the defense manufacturer.
The helicopters will support Tunisia’s air force in surveillance and disaster response missions. Defense officials emphasized the need to modernize equipment amid regional security challenges. Delivery of the aircraft is expected to begin next year.
