Authorities in Korhogo have seized and destroyed three tonnes of expired goods. The operation was led by the Regional Directorate of Commerce and Industry of Poro.
The products were collected during routine inspections across markets and shops. Items destroyed included food products, paint, bleach, and other expired goods. Officials said the products were unfit for human use and posed health risks. The Governor of the Poro Region warned traders to respect consumer safety laws.
Officials assured residents that market inspections will continue regularly. The exercise forms part of government efforts to protect public health and ensure safe trading.
