Gospel singer Empress Gifty has dedicated her seven awards this year to President John Dramani Mahama. She made the gesture during a courtesy visit to the Jubilee House with her husband and management team.
Empress Gifty thanked the President for his guidance and described him as a father figure. She also appealed for a 10,000 to 30,000-seat auditorium to support Ghana’s creative arts industry. According to her, the facility would help host major international events. The artiste urged the government to allocate more funds to the sector.
President Mahama praised her dedication and said designs for a national convention centre were under review. He promised continued support and funding for the creative industry.
