Ground Up Chale Sues Kwesi Arthur

Ground Up Chale and its founder, Glen Boateng, have sued musician Kwesi Arthur at the Accra High Court. They accuse the rapper of libel over social media posts made on 21 January 2026. The company is seeking more than GH₵10 million in damages. The suit demands deletion of the posts, an injunction, and a public apology. Kwesi Arthur had alleged ownership claims, unpaid earnings, and threats by the label.

Ground Up Chale’s lawyer denied the claims and cited royalty payments made to the artist. The dispute centres on contractual rights over music and visuals created since 2017. Kwesi Arthur has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
