Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has sued media personality Blakk Rasta for GH¢100 million over alleged defamatory comments. The lawsuit follows a video in which Blakk Rasta described the musician as the “self-confessed king of fraud.” Shatta Wale says the claims are false and have damaged his public image. The suit was filed on January 8, 2026, at the High Court in Accra. Court documents say the video spread widely on social media within a short time.
The musician is asking the court to order the removal of the video. He is also seeking a public apology and an injunction against further publications. Blakk Rasta has not yet responded publicly to the lawsuit.
