2026 Budget Focuses on People

The 2026 Budget puts people and shared prosperity at the centre. Government has allocated major funds to social protection, education, health and infrastructure. LEAP will receive GH¢1.1 billion to support vulnerable families. A new Women’s Development Bank gets GH¢401 million to finance women-led businesses. District Assemblies will benefit from GH¢8.9 billion to drive local development projects.

GH¢500 million is set aside to support victims of the Akosombo dam spillage. The budget also boosts the creative sector, health care and school infrastructure. The Finance Minister says the budget sets Ghana on a path of growth and transformation.
