Bedzrah vows to quit Parliament if anti-LGBTQ bill fails

Ho West MP Emmanuel Bedzrah says he will not return to Parliament if the anti-LGBTQ bill is not passed and signed into law. Speaking on national television, he said his decision is based on moral conviction, not politics.

Mr Bedzrah explained that his entire political life is tied to defending what he calls proper human and family values. He stated that without the bill’s passage, he would see no purpose in continuing as an MP. The MP accused Minority Leader Afenyo-Markin of being untruthful about trying to amend the bill. According to him, no one from Afenyo-Markin’s office ever approached the sponsors about any changes.

Bedzrah said the eight sponsors of the bill, including Ntim Fordjour and Sam George, have always worked together on its progress. He insisted that the bill is about moral clarity, not political gain.
