Côte d’Ivoire has launched its annual “Octobre Rose” campaign to fight breast cancer. The initiative aims to raise awareness among women about the importance of early detection.
Health authorities are encouraging regular screening to reduce cancer-related deaths. This year’s edition places special focus on outreach in rural and low-income communities. Free consultations and mammograms will be offered in several hospitals nationwide. Officials highlighted that breast cancer remains one of the country’s leading health concerns.
The campaign also promotes education about healthy lifestyles and self-examination. Through “Octobre Rose,” the government and partners hope to save more lives and empower women.
