The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed sorrow over the passing of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. He was the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and the Kantanka Group of Companies.
The inventor and philanthropist, known as the “Star of Africa,” died on 11 September 2025 after a short illness. In a statement, the NPP praised him as more than a spiritual leader. The party highlighted his role in innovation, agriculture, and automobile manufacturing. Apostle Safo was also remembered for supporting Ghanaian-owned enterprises.
The NPP noted his political support, especially in Dome Kwabenya, where his daughter Sarah Adwoa Safo served as MP. The party extended condolences to his family, the Kristo Asafo Mission, and the nation.
