The Togolese National Assembly has sworn in fourteen new deputies to replace members who resigned or took up other posts. The installation took place during a plenary session on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The replacements follow a Constitutional Court ruling issued on October 25. Several high-profile politicians left Parliament after assuming new government or administrative roles. They include former Speaker Kodjo Adédzé, now Minister of Territorial Development, and Yawa Djigbodi Tsègan, new Commissioner General of the Togolese Revenue Authority. Other departures include Environment Minister Dodzi Kokoroko and Savanes Regional Governor Atcha-Dédji Affoh.
Their designated alternates were officially installed during the session. On the same day, lawmakers unanimously elected Professor Komi Sélom Klassou as the new President of the National Assembly, succeeding Adédzé.
