Ajayi makes historic finish as Seville rules Men’s 100m

In a tight race won by Jamaica’s Oblique Seville in Tokyo,  Kanyinsola  Ajayi yesterday  emerged ,the first Nigerian in 18 years to race in  the men’s 100m final at the World Championships since Olusoji Fasuba in 2007.

Ajayi who  ran a blistering 9.93 seconds in the semifinal to secure his spot in the final, finished  sixth with a time of 10.00 seconds on his championship debut.
