Nigeria continued its dominance at the African U-18/U-20 Athletics Championships as Chioma Cynthia Nweke and Success Oyibu stormed to gold and silver in the U-20 women’s 100m final, delivering a commanding performance in front of an ecstatic home crowd.
Nweke clocked a time of 11.65s to finish first and secure Nigeria’s place at the top of the podium once again.
Ivory Coast’s Lou Yonan won bronze.
