GFA Launches U15 Girls League

The Ghana Football Association has launched its first-ever FIFA U15 Girls Regional Colts Leagues. The launch took place on January 23, 2026, at the GFA headquarters in Accra. The league is part of FIFA’s Women’s Football Development Programme. It aims to create a clear and structured pathway for young female footballers across Ghana. Girls under 15 from all 10 football regions will now have access to competitive football.

GFA President Kurt Okraku praised FIFA for supporting women’s football development. He said the league reflects long-term investment in grassroots football since 2019. Officials say the initiative will boost talent identification and strengthen women’s football in Ghana.
