Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has handed diplomatic passports to five prominent Ghanaians. The announcement came on Wednesday, September 17, at the launch of the Diaspora Summit 2025 in Accra.
The new envoys are travel vlogger Wode Maya, Grammy-nominated musician Rocky Dawuni, broadcaster Anita Erskine, visual artist Ibrahim Mahama, and entrepreneur Dentaa Amoateng MBE. They were chosen for their international influence and efforts in promoting Ghana and African culture. The passports will allow them to strengthen Ghana’s cultural diplomacy, trade promotion, and global engagement.
Wode Maya is known for showcasing African travel and entrepreneurship on YouTube. Rocky Dawuni uses music and activism to champion peace, environment, and African identity. Together with Erskine, Mahama, and Dentaa, they will serve as cultural ambassadors to connect Ghana to the world.
