AS Monaco has signed 18-year-old Ivorian striker Oumar Konaté to his first professional contract. The Abidjan native, who played for Sol FC d’Abobo, made senior appearances in the Ivorian top league and scored once. He shined at the 2024 Maurice Revello Tournament, scoring against Mexico and assisting versus France as Ivory Coast reached the final. Konaté will now join Monaco’s Elite Group under Djimi Traoré, having impressed during a trial earlier this year.
