Coach Babatunde Laguda has emerged as the new Technical Director of the Nigerian Boxing Federation following elections held on Monday at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Laguda, a boxing coach and referee/judge, secured a unanimous victory with 21 votes, defeating two other candidates in the keenly contested election supervised by the National Sports Commission.
His closest rival, Ashimota, garnered seven votes to finish as runner-up, while Ajose managed only two votes in the race for the vital position on the NBF Board.
