John Mahama plans to convert selected schools into sports development centres. He shared this during a meeting with the GFA and Ghana’s Black Queens.
The aim is to support young sports talents through structured school programs. These schools will get full sports infrastructure and training resources. Top student-athletes will be selected to train while continuing their studies. The goal is to prepare them for national teams like the Black Stars and Queens. The program hopes to balance education with high-level sports development.
This comes after the Black Queens won bronze at the 2024 Women’s AFCON.
